The York Theatre Company's hit production of Enter Laughing: The Musical, which recently concluded its run, will make a return appearance for a limited seven-week engagement, January 21-March 8, at the company's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's.
The show, which was originally titled So Long, 174th Street, is based on Carl Reiner's novel and features a book by Joseph Stein and a score by Stan Daniels. The musical tells the hilarious story of a stage-struck, woman-struck teenager who blunders his way into manhood via showbiz.
Stuart Ross and Matt Castle will return as director and music director, respectively, with casting to be announced at a later date. The recently concluded run starred Josh Grisetti (David), George S. Irving (Marlowe), Michael Tucker (Father), Jill Eikenberry (Mother), Paul Binotto (Don), Ray DeMattis (Foreman), Erick Devine ((Pike), Betsy DiLellio, Janine LaManna (Angela), Gerry McIntyre (Don), Robb Sapp (Marvin), and Emily Shoolin (Wanda).
The York is currently presenting the new musical My Vaudeville Man!, which will run through January 4.
