NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation to Hold Auditions on September 12

The New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Broadway Sensation, a talent competition which seeks to find the newest musical theatre star with the help of special celebrity judges and audience voting, will hold open auditions on Friday, September 12 from 10am to 7pm at Roy Arias Theatre Center, (300 West 43rd Street, 5th floor). Callbacks will be held on Saturday, September 13 from 6pm to 10pm. The contest is sponsored by TheaterMania.com.

This year's competition will be held at 11pm on Fridays, September 19 and 26 at The Zipper Tavern at 11pm with the grand finale taking place at 11pm on Friday, October 3 at the Zipper Theater. The finale will be webcast live on TheaterMania.

NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation is open to singers 18 and over who have tons of Broadway flair but no Broadway credits. Contestants should prepare 16 bars of the showtune that best demonstrates their vocal abilities for the audition. An accompanist will be provided, but contestants should bring sheet music, headshot, and resume.
