Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Villanova's Long Day's Journey

Full cast and creative team information have been announced for Villanova Theatre's Production of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night, which opens the company's 50th anniversary season. Lifetime Achievement Barrymore honoree Robert Hedley will direct the production, which runs September 23-October 5.

In the play, based on O'Neill's own family, the bullish James doggedly deflects his sons' criticisms; Jamie and Edmund struggle to communicate with the parents who love them to the point of blindness; and frail Mary retreats steadily into a dream world.

The production features Dan Kern (James Tyrone), Luke Moyer (James Tyrone, Jr.), Joanna Rotté (Mary Tyrone), Kristen O'Rourke (Cathleen), and Matt Silva (Edmund Tyrone). The design team will include Daniel Boylen (scenic), Janus Stefanowicz (costumes), Jerold R. Forsyth (lighting), and Christopher Colucci (sound).
