Premiere Theatre & Performance (PTAP), has announced the line-up for its 2008-2009 season.
Patrizia Acerra will direct the premiere of The Quiltmakers Gift, in association with Moving Dock Theatre Company, at Theatre Building Chicago. Performances of this 50-minute, movement-driven production, will be presented Tuesday and Thursday mornings in late October. Also, the American premiere of Seven Doors/Seiben Turen -- an original translation of the play by Botho Strauss -- will run October 1-November 2, with Acerra at the helm.
PTAP will collaborate with Vitalist Theatre for Anung's First American Christmas, an adaptation of Carl Nordgren's novella by Robin Metz with direction by Elizabeth Carlin-Metz, November 18-January 4. The season will close with Yoni Ki Baat, January 2-February 1, a Rasaka Theatre production directed by Lavina Jadhwani at Strawdog Theatre.
In related news, PTAP has announced a formal move of production and administrative offices to Logan Square, and is working to secure a permanent performance venue within the next two years.
