The Goodspeed Opera House has announced casting and creative team for its production of the musical Happy Days, based on the hit TV series created by Garry Marshall, to run April 11-June 29. Gordon Greenberg will direct the production, which features choreography by Michele Lynch.

The cast will feature Joey Sorge (Fonzie), Rory O'Malley (Richie), Sandra Denise (Pinkie), Cynthia Ferrer (Marion), Kevin Carolan (Howard), Stanley Bahorek (Ralph), Billy Tighe (Potsie), Savannah Wise (Joanie), and Lannon Killea (Chachi), along with Hanna Liina-Vosa, Matt Merchant, Mia Price, Leah Sprecher, Matt Walker, Zach Frank, Rachel Frankenthal, Michael Bauer, and Elise Kinnon. The role of Arnold is still to be cast.

The creative team features John McDaniel (music supervision), Michael O'Flaherty (music direction), Walt Spangler (sets), David C. Woolard (costumes), and Jeff Croiter (lighting).

Later in the season, Greenberg will also direct Half a Sixpence (July 11-September 19), the British musical about a Cockney shop clerk who inherits a fortune, flirts with "society," loses his money and winds up happier without it. Based on H.G. Wells' novel Kipps, the show features music and lyrics by David Heneker and book by Beverly Cross.

The season will conclude with Rob Ruggeiro's production of Big River (September 26-November 30), the musical tale based on Mark Twain's classic Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. The Tony-winning musical has music and lyrics by Roger Miller, and and a book by William Hauptman.
